    It was surprising easy to remove the bolt and nut and replace the bumper in my 15+ year old loppers! I’m not sure if it’s the purpose of the bumper but it make the after shock of snipping easier on my wrists. I changed my husband’s too. We don’t use ours for fruit trees we live in central Texas and we use them to snip small cedars.
